Did you know that every night there are eight species of bat active in Wimbledon Park? Alison Fure, a bat expert, will introduce you to them at sunset on the 26th September. Come to the watersports centre at 18:50 (ten to seven pm) on Saturday 26th. As light fails you’ll see them. Their calls are beyond the range of hearing, but you’ll hear them on bat detectors when it’s pitch dark. Children welcome with supervising adults! The bats will be there all night, but we plan to end around eight thirty (20:30).
